The Blackwoods Morning Show
The Blackwoods Morning Show blends history and heritage of iconic American gospel music. The morning show will feature R.W. Blackwood, whose father performed with the famous Blackwood Brothers Quartet. The Blackwood Brothers Quartet accumulated 8 Grammy Awards, 27 Dove Awards, 5 All American Music Awards and various other awards. The Blackwood harmonies have since been inherited by the talented R.W. Blackwood and wife Donna as they continue the gospel music legacy. The Blackwood Singers have performed in Pigeon Forge at the Smoky Mountain Opry Theater the last 15 years, and everyone is excited for their return home.
This year The Blackwoods Branson MO concerts will be at the Starlite Theater. They've performed with gospel music and country music greats like Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Larry Gatlin, Roy Rogers, Frankie Avalon, and Sammy Davis Junior. They will share their musical hits, comedy, and stories of their 81 year musical history. Incredibly enough, Elvis Presley garnered some of his musical inspiration from The Blackwood Singers.
